Hurricane Galveston

Writer's picture: laylar7laylar7

The first hurricane of the 20th century was Hurricane Galveston. The estimated death count ranges from 6,000 to 12,000 people. It was tracked through the Caribbean, the Gulf Coast, through the Mid-West, the Great Lakes, and Canada. When the hurricane passed through Cuba, it was still considered a tropical storm, but by the time it hit the Gulf Coast it was a category 4 hurricane.

Hurricane Galveston: United States, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Canada.
