Hurricane Katrina 2005

Writer's picture: laylar7laylar7

Hurricane Katrina was the most devastating hurricane in American History. In New Orleans alone there was an estimated 75 billion dollars worth of damage. It became a tropical depression while south of the bahamas, and reached a tropical storm status the next day. It then moved through the Bahamas, and past the tip of Florida. It reached category five once under the Mississippi River in the Gulf of Mexico. It then went up and barreled through Louisiana, and eventually weakened over Tennessee.
