Hurricane Rita 2005

Hurricane Rita started as a tropical storm and moved through the center of the Bahamas. It hit the tip of Florida shortly after reaching category 2, and once going through the Gulf of Mexico it hit the border between Texas, and Louisiana. It then died down and became a depression around Missouri.
